WRITE HERE…

Is a community of poets meeting weekly to write, share and talk about poetry. This is a brand new project that I am thrilled about. I’ve never actually aspired to be a poet and find myself these days doing exactly that. With that drive comes a desire to have a community of poets to share the ride with. There is so much more enrichment in being together. This is true for our connection to where bright words come from. So we do more than just keep each other company, we create a vibrant field of poetry to share in. I’m excited because i know this is going to be a golden ride.

I’m starting this project with a very loose format focused mainly on writing time. I am looking forward to coming to a format with folks that are excited to write together. I’m absolutely open to whatever has the most energy. We’ll figure that out together.

I’m mostly wanting to share the full thrust of writing magic with other folks who love to write. For now I’m planning to talk about the magic of poetry, than 40 minutes of writing shenanigans (I’m a certified shenaniganist), and the last 30 minutes sharing. In this sharing session all work is welcome: what you’ve just written, or something you’ve been working on for a year, and receive feedback by folks who know feedback is a skill.
